While providing good old-fashioned service at realistic prices, we specialise in motorbike sales, maintenance and servicing of all types of farm vehicles including 2-wheelers, quads and side by sides. Owner/Manager
Shayn and Jan Rouse founded Rouse Motorcycles Ltd in 1993 and the business has continued to grow steadily over the years. It is located on the main street in the friendly township of Hikurangi just six minutes north of Kamo, Whangarei. Shayn is also in partnership with Yamaha Whangarei on Port Rd. Shayn loves rugby and is a great supporter of Northland rugby. He is also actively involved in the Hikurangi community and the HBA group.
Parts & Sales Rep 2IC
Nick works in our parts department alongside Shayn helping source the parts side of the business as well as being our sales representative and working the sales side as well. He has been with RMC since 2013. In his spare time Nick enjoys spending time with family.
Qualified Tech, Head Mechanic
Ruel is one of our two workshop technician specialists. He specialises in motorcycle mechanics and has worked for RMC since 2008. Originally from the Philippines.In his spare time he loves relaxing spending time with his family.
Qualified Tech
Lester is a qualified motorcycle mechanic who moved to Hikurangi from the Phillipines. He started at Rouse Motorcycles in 2019. He’s a big fan of basketball and also enjoys spending time with his family and getting to know our community.
Workshop Apprentice
Embracing the spirit of learning and growth, Kurtus became part of Rouse MC’s team in late 2022 as a Workshop Apprentice. Beyond his professional endeavors, Kurtus finds joy in fishing, hunting, and exploring the open road on bikes.

Welcoming William to our team in February 2024, Rouse MC is proud to have him as our newest Workshop Apprentice. When not honing his skills in the workshop, William can be found embracing outdoor adventures, from farm biking to leisurely fishing trips.

Joining Rouse MC in March 2023, Dennis serves as a vital member of our team, fulfilling the role of Workshop Labourer.
Spare Parts Assistant Apprentice
Joining Rouse MC in December 2022, Sarah serves as our esteemed Spare Parts Assistant. Outside of work, Sarah indulges in her passion for fishing and unwinds with a few refreshing beverages.
Spare Parts Assistant Apprentice
Fabrice joined the team in March 2025 as our Spare Parts Apprentice, bringing a keen interest in all thing’s motorbikes. With a hands- on approach and eagerness to learn, he’s quickly becoming a valuable part of the crew. When he’s not around the workshop Fabrice enjoys fishing and gaming to unwind
Caretaker, Driver & Yard Manger
Regan works here as our caretaker cleaning & maintaining the grubby motorbikes when they come in. He also picks up and delivers clients motorbikes anywhere & everywhere. He also has a passion for locomotives and can be seen driving the steam train in Kawakawa.
Warranty Sales & Administration
Tod works in our administration department working on the motorbike warranties and sales. She has enjoyed working here at RMC since 2010. She loves classic cars and motorbikes and currently rides a classic 1958 Honda C scooter. She also organises the Hikurangi Auto Madness Car Show.
Marketing Manager
Katherine joined Rouse MC in early 2024, injecting creative energy into brand campaigns, running her full‑service agency BroadCoast, constantly generating thoughtful ideas to uplift her community, and finding inspiration while running country roads and making music—always innovating, connecting people and boosting local spirit.
Workshop Technician
Melvena joined the team in November 2024 as a skilled workshop technician, bringing a keen eye for detail and hands on approach to the role.
She is a valued part of the crew, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, Mel enjoys hockey, casting a line and making the most of the great outdoors with her family.
Office Manager
Joining the team in June 2025, Rebbecca brings energy and efficiency to our workspace as our Office Manager. Overseeing all office and administration functions, she helps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside the office, Rebbecca has a passion for cars – particularly Japanese makes and enjoys snowboarding and gaming with friends in her downtime.
